John was born to Richard & Susan & lived in Back Lane with 3 sisters He was hit by a shell & died of his wounds. His was the first photograph of a soldier killed to appear in the Montgomeryshire Express. He is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, St David's Church & the UR Chapel.
