William was born to Mr & Mrs Owen at 60 Ladywell Street. He had 2 sisters & worked as an assistant to Edward Vaughan, grocer in Severn Street. He was killed in action at Aubencheulana-Bois buried at Angles British Cemetery in Crevecoeur-sur-L'Escaut. He is commemorated at St Davids & URC Chapel.
