Claude Harris Oliver

Claude was born in Newtown to John Harris, a draper warehouseman, and Elsie Belle and lived at Bay House, Bryn Street with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He worked as an electrician at Pryce Jones and married Emily Lillian Ellis in Lincoln, although previously he had worked as an airman, and served as a dynamo and switchboard attendant. He was 5'2", had a 31" chest, light brown hair, blue eyes and fresh complexion, and a scar on his right knee. Claude served in Eygypt and TransJordam and received a Good Conduct medal. He was transferred to the RAF Reserve and discharged on 09/11/1934.
