Killed: 30/5/1918

 

George was a son of John Stephen, a grocer, & Hannah (Price), and had a brother & sister. He had worked at the Land Value Office, Welspool. He was killed by a shell when going to the assistance of wounded senior officers. He was buried in 10 Sandspits British Cemetery and is commemorated in St David's Church and the Baptist & URC Chapels.
