Clement was born to Maurice Meyrick, a warehouseman and Sarah, a shirt machinist and lived at 5 Dysart Terrace with 2 sisters and 7 brothers. In October 1917 he was wounded but recovered, but was killed in action in France when hit by a shell. He is commemoraated on Vis-en-Artois memorial, Calais as well as in St Davids and Llanllwwchaiarn Churches.
