Arthur Charles Brock

Arthur was the son of James Thomas, foreman railway porter & Amy Sarah(Martin), 20 Kerry Road, where he also lived with a brother and sister. Arthur worked at Jones & Leach. He had several British postings then went to Gallipoli where he was killed at Suvla Bay when carrying despatches. It was thought that he had been wounded, but was still missing after the fighting. His body was found by an army chaplain 10 days later & buried at Green Hill Cemetery. He was awarded the British War & Victory medals. He is commemorated in St David's Church.
