George was the son of Pryce, a domestic gardener and Susan Bray, living at Bank Cottage, Broad Street with 2 brothers and a sister.  His brother Frank and his father were also in the forces. He was apprenticed to Charles Griffiths & Son, Broad Street, tailor & draper. He was buried in Arras and commemorated at St Davids & URC.
