David was born to Thomas and Ruth (Brown) and had 3 brothers and 8 sisters, living at Dingle Cottages, Dolfor Road. He was employed by the Cambrian Railway in Birmingham, where he married Mrs M E, and had a child. They then moved to Manchester He died in France of wounds at a casualty clearing centre and was buried at Piedmont British Cemetery, Aisne.He was awarded the British War & Victory medals and is commemorated at St David's Church & the Baptist Chapel.
